Celebrating Veterans' Day November 9th

We’re excited to host Lt Col Austin Street, USAF, currently a National Defense Fellow at Stanford’s Center for International Security and Cooperation, as our November Guest Speaker!  Lt Col Street will describe his experience as the Commander of the 21st Airlift Squadron operating the C-17 during Operation Allies Refuge (OAR).  His interesting perspective will include detailing a mission during OAR for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the honor and responsibility for returning the 13 servicemembers killed in the suicide attack to the United States.

Lieutenant Colonel W. Austin Street

Lt Col W. Austin Street is a National Defense Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, Center for International Security and Cooperation, Stanford University, California. In this role, he contributes to Stanford's hub for nonpartisan, interdisciplinary research, teaching, and policy impact on international affairs. He conducts innovative research and shares findings with policy makers that tackles some of the world's most pressing security and international cooperation issues.

Lt Col Street commissioned into the Air Force in June 2005 after    graduating from    the   United States Air Force Academy and earned a master's degree in 2013 from the University of Massachusetts.
